Sri Lanka chamber recognises more businesses for sustainability awards
ECONOMYNEXT – The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce said it has decided to recognise more economic ‘sectors’ in its ‘Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2015’, an annual to reward the best corporate sustainability initiatives.
The BCCS 2015 awards this year will also recognise sustainability efforts by sectors such as ‘Construction’, ‘Healthcare,’ ‘Infrastructure and Logistics’, ‘Knowledge Service’ and ‘Leisure’, a statement said.
“The firms who have done excellent ‘sustainability’ work focusing on areas such as employees, customers, community, shareholders, governance and the environment can submit their applications to compete in the contest.”
The award will be held during November with the closing date for applications being 02 October 2015. (Colombo/August 23 2015)
