Sri Lanka donor agencies to improve aid coordination
ECONOMYNEXT – Three of Sri Lanka’s main donor agencies have done a joint study on their work in an effort to find ways to improve co-ordination among them, making aid more effective.
JICA, ADB and the World Bank have conducted the joint case study for their programmes and projects assistance during the last 10-year period, a JICA statement said.
“This joint case study will pave the way to understand synergies of donors’ assistance provided during the last 10 years and areas where it needs more attention for successful collaboration.”
Eriko Yamashita from JICA’s evaluation department said the three development partners will continue to work closely to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6, which includes water supply and sanitation.
