Sri Lanka flood victims get Indian helping hand

EconomyNext – India has supplied a range of relief goods to victims of the latest floods and landslides in Sri Lanka caused by heavy and unseasonal rains, the Indian High Commission said in a statement.

The relief material was procured locally in Sri Lanka and included water purifiers, water purification tablets, buckets and cans, mats, mosquito nets, bed-sheets, towels and school exercise books.

The High Commission of India handed over relief goods Friday as humanitarian assistance to the National Disaster Relief Services Centre of the Ministry of Disaster Management of Sri Lanka.
