Sri Lanka has no confirmed information on any incident planned for 13th: police
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s security authorities or intelligence have not confirmed that any incident planned to take place on May 13, police spokesman Nuwan Gunasekera said.
Gunasekera said no information received by authorities is discarded and all information thoroughly probed and action is being taken to tighten security.
"But security forces or intelligence units have not confirmed this information," he said.
Sri Lanka’s state schools, which were closed after Easter Sunday bombings re-opened last week, but attendance had been poor. Catholic schools are due to open on May 14.
Sunday Mass was also not held at Catholic churches last week.
Gunasekera said Sunday religious observances had taken place as usual this Sunday and private tuition classes were also seen to be operating normally.
