Sri Lanka imposes ban on all public gatherings amid COVID-19 resurgence
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health has banned all public gatherings in the island until further notice in light of rising COVID-19 infections in the Minuwangoda Brandix cluster.
Accordingly, parties, conferences, seminars, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, processions, demonstrations and all other non-essential gatherings are prohibited till further notice.
The ministry urged the public to follow the revised health and hygiene guidelines to prevent a further outbreak of the pandemic. (Colombo/Oct06/2020)
