Sri Lanka inflation steady at 0.1-pct in April 2015

COLOMBO (EconomyNext) – Sri Lanka’s consumer prices rose 0.1 percent in the 12-months to April 2015, the same rate as in March, the central bank said.

The Colombo Consumer Price Index gained 0.2 in April, having dropped in the previous two months after the new government cut taxes and slashed fuel prices.

  Sri Lanka’s consumer prices are now at their lowest since the 0.5 percent reported in January 2004.
