Sri Lanka investment agency to extend working hours
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment will extend its working hours to 16 hours a day to better deal with investors, its chairman Upul Jayasuriya said.
“The BOI soon will be operating 16 hours day starting from 6am and going on till 10pm,” he told the ‘Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave’ organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
“This will ensure better communications with investors in different parts of the world.”
Jayasuriya also said new work habits will be introduced to improve response times for investors.
Investors who bring problems to the notice of BOI officials will be able to get responses within 24 hours, he said.
