Sri Lanka nation-wide inflation at 4.2-pct in December 2015
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s consumer prices nation-wide rose 4.2 percent in December 2015 from a year ago, according to a new national price index compiled using prices collected from all nine provinces, the statistics department said.
The National Consumer Price Index (NCPI), with 2013 as the base year, had risen 4.8 percent in November 2015.
The December 2015 NCPI went up 1.1 percent from the month before, the department said in a statement.
NCPI has been releasing monthly from October 2015 with a time lag of 21 days.
