Sri Lanka plans BOT elevated highway
ECONOMYENXT – Sri Lanka plans to build an elevated highway to the capital Colombo from the suburb of Kotta of a build operate transfer basis, Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said.
The government will contribute three billion rupees for the project he said.
Sri Lanka’s board of investment said it will also call bids for a mass transit system from private parties. It is not clear whether both will be viable.
But Sri Lanka is planning to make the Colombo in to a large megapolis.
