Sri Lanka Presidentâ€™s top aide quits
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena’s top aide, Austin Fernando, has quit his position, it was announced on Twitter Thursday.
Secretary to the President “bid farewell to his office “ the President’s Media Division said on Twitter.
There was no formal statement from the Presidential Secretariat. It was also not clear if Fernando had quit his other positions, including the chair at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC).
He took up the post of the senior most public servant in July last year.
