Sri Lanka raises Rs10bn from 30-year bonds at 11.73-pct

COLOMBO (EconomyNext) – Sri Lanka’s has sold a 30-year bond to yield 11.73 percent at an auction Friday, raising 10 billion rupees, the state debt office said.

Sri Lanka offered a billion rupees of 30-year bonds and had received bids of 20.7 billion rupees.

The bond was last auctioned on May 27, 2014 at 11.25 percent.

Dealers say there were off-market placements in the last few months at yields around 9.3 percent.

The bond was quoted in the secondary market at around 11.75/12.25 percent Friday after the auction.
