ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has removed a passenger limit for flights carrying fully vaccinated travellers and passengers arriving via a Sri Lanka Tourism bio bubble.
However, existing limitations on unvaccinated passengers will remain, the CAA said in a circular released Thursday (29).
A maximum of 75 passengers per flight are permitted for passengers not arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism bio-bubble and who have not been vaccinated or only partially vaccinated, the CAA said.
There will be no limit on passenger numbers per flights for:
- Fully vaccinated passengers (administered with the relevant doses and 14 days have lapsed) with requisite vaccination certificates. This will include passengers arriving for hotel quarantine and government quarantine.
- Passengers arriving via the Sri Lanka Tourism bio bubble.
Passengers who have received two doses of any vaccine can arrive in Sri Lanka 14 days or more after the second dose for a one-day quarantine until on-arrival PCR tests are cleared. (Colombo/Jul29/2021)
