Sri Lanka returnees give duty free shopping chance after Covid-19 quarantine

ECONOMYNEXT – Expatriate Sri Lanka nationals who arrived in the country from September 01 and December 16, 2020 will be given a chance to use their duty free allowance, the state airport agency said.

The facility will be available till January 16, 2020, Sri Lanka Airports and Aviation Services said.

Interested returnees should contact 0112263017 or login www.airport.lk.

“..[P]assengers who have completed the mandatory quarantine process after 16th December 2020, will follow the usual one month period to make use of their duty-free entitlement,” the agency said.

Sri Lankan nationals have duty free allowances to purchase goods at Arrival Duty-Free Shopping Complex of Bandaranaike International Airport based on their length of stay abroad. (Colombo/Dec19/2020)
