Sri Lanka rupee closes at 185.30/40 levels, bond yields flat
ECONOMYMEXT- Sri Lanka rupee closed at 185.30/40 Friday from while bond yields were flat, dealers said.
The Telegraphic Transfer (TT) buying rate quoted by Colombo’s commercial banks was for June 12 was 182.64 rupees while the selling rate was 187.64 rupees.
Liquidity in the overnight money market was 88.19 billion rupees, down from 111.20 billion rupees yesterday.
Banks deposited 99.06 billion rupees in Central Bank’s excess liquidity window.
In the secondary government securities market, yields were flat in active trade on Friday’s trading, dealers said.
A new 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 closed 7.53/58 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 closed at 7.61/64 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 closed at 8.17/22 percent Friday.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 closed at 8.65/75 percent on Friday’s close.
