Sri Lanka rupee closes stronger at 195/195.75 to US dollar in one-week forwards
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed stronger at 195/195.75 to the US dollar in the one-week forward market on Friday, while some bond yields were down, dealers said.
The rupee last closed in one-week forward market at 196.50/197 to the dollar on Thursday.
In the secondary market bond yields down in dull market activity, dealers said.
Dealers said the market is dull due to the upcoming auction on next week.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 closed at 5.65/75 per cent on Friday, down from 5.80/85 per cent at Thursday’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 closed 6.00/15 per cent, down from 6.05/15 per cent at the previous day’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 closed at 6.55/65 per cent, down from 6.75/80 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 closed at 6.75/85 per cent, down from 6.95/7.10 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2026 closed at 7.00/07 down from 7.10/25 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 closed at 7.15/35 per cent, down from 7.30/55 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 8.00/20 per cent, down from 8.10/30 per cent at Thursday’s end. (Colombo/Feb19/2021)
