Sri Lanka rupee closes weaker at 198.00/199.00 in the one-week forward market
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed weaker at 198.00/199.00 levels to the US dollar in the one-week forward market on Monday while bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.
The rupee last closed in the one- week forward market at 197.00/198.00 to the US dollar on Friday.
In the secondary market bond yields remained unchanged on dull market trade, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 closed at 5.75/85 per cent on Monday, down from 5.80/87 per cent on Friday.
A bond maturing on 15.11.2023 closed flat at 6.20/30 per cent on Monday.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 closed flat at 6.55/65 per cent on Monday.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 closed at 6.70/85 per cent on Monday, up from 6.65/80 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.02.2026 closed flat at 7.00/7.10 per cent on Monday.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 closed unchanged at 7.4/50 per cent on Monday from Friday.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 8.10/40 per cent, steady from 8.10/35 per cent on Friday. (Colombo/March15/2021)
