Sri Lanka rupee ends flat, gilt yields remain unchanged
ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka rupee ends flat at 181.20/30 to the US dollar in the spot market on Friday, while bond yields remained unchanged, dealers and brokers said.
The rupee closed at 181.20/30 to the greenback on Thursday.
Liquidity in the overnight money market was 17.77 billion rupees, down from 17.25 billion rupees at Thursday’s close.
Central Bank injected 5.00 billion rupees at 7.52 percent in an overnight reverse repo auction
In the secondary bond market, yields were flat in dull trading, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2021 closed at 8.65/80 percent on Friday, down from 8.70/90 percent at Thursday’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.09.2023 closed flat at 935/39 percent from its last closing.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 closed at 9.55/60 percent, gaining from 9.52/57 percent yesterday.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 closed at 9.72/78 percent on Friday falling from 9.73/78 percent on Thursday’s close.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 9.90/10.00 percent, unchanged from 9.90/95 percent at previous day’s close.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2034 remained unchanged at 10.00/10 percent from its previous close.
