Sri Lanka rupee opens steady in one-month market
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted weaker around 189.50/190.50 to the US dollar in the one month market on Monday, while bond yields were unchanged, dealers said.
One months were quoted at similar levels on Friday.
In the spot next market the closed wide around 186.50/188.50 to the US dollars, dealers said.
In the secondary securities market, bond yields remained unchanged in dull trade dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.57/63 per cent Monday, down from 5.70/75 per cent on Friday.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.65/70 per cent, flat from last closing.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.35/4 steady from 6.35/42 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.50/60 per cent on Monday, unchanged.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.65/75 steady from 6.68/75 from the previous day’s end.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted flat at 7.15/20 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 7.23/30 steady from 7.20/35 per cent from the previous day’s end.
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.75/85 down from 7.70/90 per cent. (Colombo/Jan04/2021)
