Sri Lanka rupee opens weaker
ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka rupee was quoted weaker around 195.50/196.50 levels in the spot market in early trade on Wednesday, while bond yield were steady, dealers said.
The rupee closed wide 194.00/196.50 to the US dollar on Tuesday.
In the secondary market bond yields remained flat in dull market trade, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.47/53 per cent on Wednesday, steady from 5.45/55 per cent at Tuesday close.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 was quoted at 5.90/98 per cent from 5.90/95 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 was quoted at 6.50/55 per cent on Wednesday, unchanged from 6.50/55 per cent a day earlier.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted flat at 6.75/85 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 7.20/35 per cent up from 7.15/35.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.90/8.10 per cent, gaining from 7.85/8.05 per cent at Tuesday’s end. (Colombo/Feb10/2021)
