Sri Lanka rupee quoted firmer at 191/192 levels
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee quoted stronger at 191/192 levels in the spot market on Monday, while bond yields flat in dull market trade, dealers said.
The rupee closed around 191.25/192 to the US dollar on Friday.
In bond markets, yields remained unchanged in the dull market.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.43/50 per cent on Monday, steady from 5.42/50 per cent at Friday’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 was quoted flat at 5.75/85 per cent on Monday.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 was quoted at 6.35/40 per cent, up from 6.33/37 per cent a day earlier.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.55/65 per cent on Monday, up from 6.45/55 per cent at the last close.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.70/80 per cent on Friday, up from 6.67/75 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted flat at 7.10/20 per cent unchanged from previous day’s close.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.60/80 per cent on Monday, up from 7.55/75 per cent at Friday’s end. (Colombo/Feb01/2021)
