Sri Lanka rupee quoted firmer at open, bond yields flat

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted firmer at 184.30/45 to the US dollar on Friday while bond yields were flat, dealers said.

The rupee closed at 184.35/45 against the greenback on Thursday.

In the secondary securities market bond yields were flat from yesterday’s close in a dull market, dealers said.

A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.55/65 per cent on Friday, stable from 5.55/65 per cent at Thursday’s closing.

A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.60/70 per cent on Friday, flat from the last closing.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.05/12 per cent, stable from 6.05/15 per cent at the previous closing.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.35/40 per cent on Friday, up from 6.35/45 per cent at its last closing.

A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.58/60 per cent on Friday, up from 6.57/63 per cent.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 6.85/95 per cent, unchanged from 6.85/93 per cent yesterday.

A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 7.05/10 per cent, unchanged from yesterday’s closing.
