ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee quoted flat at 184.12/22 to the US dollar on Monday while bond came off marginally, dealers said.
The rupee closed at 184.15/30 against the greenback on Thursday.
In the secondary securities market, bond yields came down while the overall market was active, dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.55/62 per cent on Monday, down from 5.60/70 per cent at Friday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 as quoted at 5.58/65 per cent on Monday, down from 5.65/75 per cent at the last closing.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.15/18 per cent, stable from 6.17/6.20 per cent at the previous closing.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted flat at 6.40/48 per cent from its last closing.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.60/68 per cent, down from 6.65/68 per cent at the previous day’s end.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 6.90/95 per cent on Monday, steady from 6.92/95 per cent at the previous day’s end.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 7.10/15 per cent on Monday, steady from 7.10/18 per cent.
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted unchanged at 7.35/45 per cent from the previous day’s end. (Colombo/October10/2020)
