Sri Lanka rupee quoted flat, bond yields unchanged
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted flat at 186.30/55 against the US dollar on Thursday while bond yields remain unchanged, dealers said.
Rupee ended on Wednesday at 186.30/50 rupees against the US dollar.
In the secondary government securities markets, bond yields were flat in dull trade, dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.54/58 percent on Thursday, down from 5.55/60 per cent at Wednesday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.58/62 percent, flat from 5.58/65 per cent at the previous closing.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.07/14 percent, up from 6.05/15 per cent at Wednesday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.35/43 percent, unchanged from 6.35/42 per cent at the previous day’s closing.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted flat at 6.50/60 per cent from the previous close.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted flat at 6.95/7.05 percent, from 6.95/7.02 per cent.
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at flat at 7.30/40 per cent from previous day’s closing.(Colombo/Aug27/2020)
