Sri Lanka rupee quoted wider at 200/204 to one-month dollar

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee quoted wider at 200/204 levels in the one-month dollar on Friday while bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Sri Lanka’s rupee closed around 201/203 in the one-month forward market on Thursday.

Average Telegraph Transfers (TT) rates of the dollar at commercial banks was 199.40 to sell and 193.40 rupees to buy on Thursday according to central bank data.

In the secondary market, bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Bonds maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 6.00/05 per cent on Friday, up from 5.95/05 per cent on Thursday.

Bonds maturing on 15.11.2023 was quoted flat at 6.55/60 per cent on Friday from Thursday.

Bonds maturing on 15.12.2024 was quoted at 6.85/7.00 per cent on Friday, steady from 6.85/95 per cent on Thursday.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 7.00/20 per cent on Friday, steady from 7.00/15 per cent on Thursday.

A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 7.25/50 per cent on Friday, down from 7.30/45 per cent on Thursday.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 7.65/85 per cent on Friday, up from 7.60/90 per cent on Thursday.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2029 quoted flat at 7.90/20 per cent on Friday.

A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 quoted flat at 8.10/50 per cent on Friday.
