Sri Lanka rupee steady, bond yields unchanged
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted at 184.25/40 to the US dollar on Thursday while bond yields were largely unchanged, dealers said.
The rupee closed at 184.25/35 against the greenback on Wednesday.
Bond markets were dull with little activity, dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.60/65 per cent on Thursday, up from 5.55/65 per cent at Wednesday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.60/70 per cent on Thursday, up from 5.55/65 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.12/15 per cent, up from 6.10/15 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.37/42 per cent from 6.35/45 percent .
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.60/65 per cent on Thursday, unchanged.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 6.85/95 per cent on, unchanged from 6.85/95 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 7.08/10 per cent unchanged.
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.40/50 per cent up from 7.35/45 from previous day’s closing. (Colombo/October 29/2020)
