Sri Lanka rupee weaker, bond yields edge higher
ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka rupee closed weaker around 193.70/194.25 levels in the spot market on Friday, while bond yields edged higher, dealers said.
The rupee closed wide 193.0/194.0 to the US dollar on Wednesday.
Bond yields edged up dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 closed at 5.44/50per cent on Friday, up from 5.42/48 per cent Wednesday. Thursday was a market holiday.
A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 closed at 5.90/97per cent on Friday, up from 5.80/90 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 closed at 6.42/47per cent, steady from 6.43/47 per cent a day earlier.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 closed at 6.55/70per cent up from 6.55/65 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 closed at 6.55/70 percent on Friday, up from 6.55/65 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 closed at 7.10/20per cent on Friday, steady from 7.10/20 per cent at the previous day’s close.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 7.60/80 percent on Friday, up from 7.55/75 per cent at the previous day’s end. (Colombo/Feb05/2021)
