Sri Lanka schedules power cuts of up to 3 hours for July 23

SPORATIC CUTS: On Tuesday power was cut after CEBs Kelanitissa combined cycle power plant ran out of fuel

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will impose power cuts of up to 3 hours on July 23, Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said.

All areas (ABCDEFGHIJKLPQRSTUVW) will have power cuts of 1 hours and 40 minutes between 10.20 am and 06.00 pm and 1 hour 20 minutes power cuts from 06.00pm to 10.00 pm.

The state-run Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said the supply interruption time and restoration time will be varied within 30 minutes as indicated above. (Colombo/ July 23/2022)
