ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka’s debt office has sold a bond maturing on 15.09.2024 at 9.87 percent and a bond maturing on 15.05.2030 at 10.23 percent, the central bank said.
An existing bond maturing on 15.09.2024 had closed trading on the last market day (Tuesday) at 9.82/88 percent.
A 15.05.2030 bond maturity had closed trading in the secondary market at 10.20/40 percent.
The government debt office had issued the full 15 billion rupees in the 15.09.2024 bond on Thursday with a coupon rate of 9.85 percent, after receiving bids up to 53.8 billion rupees.
The 15.05.2030 bond, with a coupon rate of 11 percent, received 42 billion rupees in bids, and the government debt office fully allocated the planned 10 billion rupees.
The auction will be settled on December 16.
