ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka sold 40 billion rupees of eight year bonds at a weighted average yield of 10.24 percent at Tuesday’s auction, the debt office said.
The bond maturing on 15 October 2027 closed at 10.22/25 percent.
The debt office, a unit of the Central Bank, also sold 15 billion rupees of 20-year bonds at a weighted average yield of 10.68 percent.
The bonds maturing on 15 August 2039 closed at 10.60/70 percent.
The debt office got bids of 86 billion rupees for the eight year bonds and bids of 49 billion rupees for the 20-year bonds.
