Sri Lanka sells Rs20bn in bonds, secondary yields move up

COLOMBO (EconomyNext) – Sri Lanka has sold 12.4 billion rupees of 2-year bonds to yield 8.14 percent and 7.6 billion rupees of 6-year bonds at a weighted average yield of 9.40 percent, the state debt office said.

Secondary yields moved up after the aution.

Two year bonds maturing on 15.05.2017 were quoted at 8.10/15 percent after the auction, up from 7.85/8.00 percent levels on Monday.

Six-year bonds maturing on 01.08.2021 were quoted at 9.35/40 percent after the auction, up from 9.05/25 percent a day earlier.

Six year bonds were auctioned on March 17 at 9.55 percent.
