Sri Lanka sells Rs30.4bn bonds, auction yields drop
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 30.4 billion rupees worth 2, 4 and 6-year bonds with yields dropping from recent auctions, data from the state debt office showed.
The central bank sold 15.6 billion rupees of 2-year bonds maturing on 15.11.2018 to yield 11.53 percent, down from 12.75 on March 28.
The central bank sold 9.3 billion rupees of 01.50.2020 bonds to yield 11.78 percent, sharply down from 12.78 percent on March 29.
The debt office also sold 5.4 billion rupees of 2022 bonds to yield 11.98 percent. (Corrected March 28 auction yeild of 2-year bonds was 12.75-pct)
