Sri Lanka sells Rs32.6bn in 5 and 7-year bonds, 10-year rejected

COLOMBO (EconomyNext) – Sri Lanka has sold 32.6 billion rupees of 5 and 7 year bonds and rejected bids for 10 year bonds, data from the state debt office said. The debt office sold 16.5 billion rupees of 4-year 10-month bonds maturing on 01.05.2020 at a weighted average yield of 8.11 percent after offering 9.0 billion rupees. Similar bonds were last auctioned on May 28 at 8.35 percent. The debt office also sold 16.1 billion of 7-year, 3-months bonds maturing on 01.10.2022 to yield 8.56 percent. Bids for 10 year bonds maturing on 15.03.2015 were rejected.
