Sri Lanka sells Rs60bn in 3 and 7-year bonds

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 60 billion rupees of 3 and 7 year bonds by auction after offering the same volume at an auction on September 13, data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office sold 30 billion rupees of 3-year 1-month bonds maturing on 15 -October 2021, to yield 10.03 percent.
Another 30 billion rupees of 7-year 1-month bonds maturing on 15 September 2025 were sold at 10.32 percent.
Sri Lanka’s bond yields have risen amid currency pressure developing from excess liquidity which was reversed. (Colombo/Sep14/2018)
