Sri Lanka sells Rs60bn in bonds, 7-year bonds at 9.99-pct
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 60 billion rupees in bonds with 22.5 billion rupees of 7 year 7 month bonds maturing sold at 9.99 percent, at an auction Thursday, data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office sold 20 billion rupees of 4-year 6-month bonds maturing on 15.09.2024 at 9.81 percent.
The debt office sold 17.5 billion rupees of 2 year 7 month bonds maturing on 01.10.2020 at 9.33 percent.
An existing 4-year bond maturing on 15.09.2024 had closed trading on the market today Wednesday) at 9.80/85 percent.
A 15.10.2027, 7-year bond maturity closed trading in the secondary market at 10.00/05 percent above the auctioned rate.
The auction will be settled on March 16. (Colombo/Mar12/2020)
