Sri Lanka SOEs award contracts to buy 92,000MT of fertilizer
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s state-run Lanka Fertilizer Limited (Lak Pohora) and Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Limited has awarded contracts for 92,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer to three companies, the state information office said.
The cabinet of ministers had approved the purchase of 60,000 metric tonnes of Urea (Granula) from Valiancy International Trading (Pvt) Ltd from 259.99 dollars a tonne.
7,319 metric tonnes of Urea (field) will be purchased form Agrifert Liven International Private Limited for 266.48 dollars a tonne.
20,000 metric tonnes of muriate of potash (red/pink/white) will be purchased from Agricultural Resources and Investments Private Limited for 248 dollars a tonne.
4,700 tonnes of muriate of potash will be purchased from Agricultural Resources and Investments Private Limited for 249 dollars per tonne. (Colombo/July25/2020)
