Sri Lanka stocks close 0.08-pct higher, buying in Dialog, JKH
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks closed 0.08 percent higher on buying interest in Dialog Axiata, John Keells Holdings and Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka, provisional data showed.
Colombo’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) gained 4.40 points to 5,295.68 and the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks gained 0.40 percent or 9.87 points to 2,476.02.
Market turnover was 127.4 million rupees with 79 stocks gaining and 46 declining.
Dialog Axiata was 0.20 cents up at 9.20 rupees, John Keells Holdings was up 0.80 cents to 139.00 rupees and Distilleries Company Sri Lanka gained 0.20 cents to 14.20 rupees, contributing to ASPI gain.
Seylan Bank, John Keells Holdings and Chevron Lubricants Lanka contributed 57.8 million rupees to the turnover.
