ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka stocks closed 0.33 percent higher on Monday, provisional data showed.
Colombo’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) gained 19.02 points to 5,708.92 and the S&P SL20 Index of more liquid stocks rose1.23 percent or 34 points to 2,789.42.
The market turnover was 277 million rupees with 93 stocks gaining and 31 falling.
Hemas Holdings gained 4.40 rupees to 74.50 rupees a share contributing most to the gain of the ASPI.
Sampath Bank went up 3.50 rupees at 156.50 rupees a share and Access Engineering gain1.10 rupees to 19.00 rupees a share contributing to the gain of ASPI.
