Sri Lanka stocks down in mid-day trade

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s main stock index slipped within the first hour of trade after opening on green territory, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.

The main All Share Price Index fell 0.08 percent or 6.36 points to 7,765.72 at 1130hrs on June 16.

Meanwhile the most liquid index S&P SL20 was up at 0.31 percent or 7.67 points to 2,492.88.

The market generated a turnover of 425 million rupees.

Top losers were LOLC Holdings, Browns Investment and Royal Ceramic Lanka. (Colombo/June16/2022)
