Sri Lanka stocks end 0.08-pct lower in volatile trade
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks ended 0.08 percent lower Tuesday, provisional data showed.
Colombo’s All Share Price Index remained volatile throughout the day.
ASPI fell 4.60 points to 5,733.64, while the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks gained 0.04 percent or 1.20 points to 2,760.92.
The market turnover was 214 million rupees with 51 stocks gaining and 50 falling.
Ceylon Tobacco Company fell 7.90 rupees to 1,101.30 rupees a share contributing mostly to the fall of ASPI.
Commercial Leasing and Finance fell 20 cents at 3.00 rupees a share and Dialog Axiata fell by 10 cents to 10.50 rupees a share, also contributing to the fall of the ASPI.
