Sri Lanka stocks end 0.10-pct up in volatile trade
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks ended 0.10 percent higher Tuesday, provisional data showed.
Colombo’s All Share Price Index remained volatile throughout the day.
ASPI gained 5.95 points to 5,822.47, while the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks fell 0.48 percent or 13.46 points to 2,817.94.
The market turnover was 716 million rupees with 64 stocks gaining and 59 falling.
Ceylon Cold Stores gained 46.60 rupees to 794.50 rupees a share, Browns Investment up 20 cents at 5.10 rupees a share and Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka gained 20 cents to 16.50 rupees a share, contributing to ASPI’s gain.
