Sri Lanka stocks end 0.54-pct lower
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks closed 0.54 percent lower on Thursday, provisional data showed.
Colombo’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) was down 32.15 points to 5,917.15.
The S&P SL20 Index of more liquid stocks was down 1.64 percent or 48.38 points to 2,905.82.
Market turnover was 1.08 billion rupees with 43 stocks gaining and 98 declinings.
John Keells Holdings contributed 45 percent or 592 million rupees to the market turnover.
John Keells Holdings fell 2.30 rupees to 148.00 rupees a share, Commercial Bank of Ceylon was 3.10 rupees down at 106.00 rupees a share and Dialog Axiata fell 20 cents to 10.80 rupees a share, pushing down the ASPI.
