Sri Lanka stocks ends lower after a week
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka stocks closed 0.65 per lower on Tuesday after almost a weeks gain, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.
Colombo’s main, All Share Price Index fell 38.08 points to end at 5,802.97.
S&P SL20 index of most liquid stocks fell 1.10 per cent or 25.75 points to close at 2,308.96.
The market turnover shot up to 5 billion rupees while 62 stocks made gains and 127 made losses.
Carson Cumberbatch plc contributed most to ASPI’s fall, trading 15.60 rupees down at 274.10 rupees a share.
Other stocks which contributed to ASPI’s fall were John Keells Holdings, trading 1.40 rupees down at 129.60 rupees a share while Ceylon Cold Stores shares too fell trading 16.40 rupees lower at 651.00 rupees a share.
