Sri Lanka stocks open flat amidst buying interest in Dialog
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka stocks opened flat Tuesday with Colombo’s All Share gaining 0.04 percent, up 2.35 points to 6,025.34 on thin volumes amidst buying interest in Dialog, brokers said.
The S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks was down a sharp 1.11 percent, 34.44 points lower at 3,071.31.
Dialog was up 10 cents to 10.20 rupees and Vallibel One was trading 20 cents higher at 16.80 rupees.
Taj Lanka Hotels was up 1.30 rupees to 14.50 rupees in early trading.
Hunas Falls Hotels continues to gain, trading 60 cents higher at 156 rupees but was lower than Monday’s intraday high of 160 rupees.
The hotel stock gained 23.60 rupees on Monday on speculative trading on the possible sale of a controlling stake of the company currently held by the Hayleys Group. (COLOMBO, 08 January 2019)
