Sri Lanka stocks up 0.21-pct in early trading
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka stocks were up 0.21 percent in early trading Thursday on buying interest in John Keells Holdings and banking stocks, market participants said.
Colombo’s All Share index was 12.33 points higher at 5,789.08 amidst low volumes, and the S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks gained a sharp 1.15 percent, up 33.52 points to 2,950.97.
John Keells Holdings was up 2.10 rupees to 131.40 rupees
Hatton National Bank gained 70 cents to 201 rupees and NDB Bank was up 1.80 rupees to 101 rupees.
Seylan Bank was up 90 cents to 68.90 rupees and Sampath Bank was trading 5 rupees higher at 225 rupees. (COLOMBO, 18 October 2018)
