ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s long-delayed GCE Advanced Level (AL) exams for 2021 will be held from February 7 to March 05, 2022, the Examination Department said.
The department said in a statement on Friday (17) that non-programmable calculators will be allowed for the subjects of accounting, bio-systems technology, engineering technology and for science technology at the A/L exams.
Calculators will not be permitted for any other subjects, Commissioner General of Examinations L M D Dharmasena said.
“Using of correcting fluid, mobile phones or electronic devices for any subject is not allowed and it is a punishable offence even to bring them into the examination hall,” he said.
Some of the prominent exams in Sri Lanka will be held on the following days:
On February 7, in the morning session, the first paper for the subject of combined mathematics will be held from 0830-1140hrs and in the afternoon session biology and economics paper I will be held from 1300-1500hrs.
Biology and economics paper II will be held on February 8 from 1300-1410hrs.
Combined mathematics paper II on February 9 from 0830-1140hrs.
Business paper I on February 10 from 0830-1030hrs and Agricultural science paper I from 1300-1500hrs.
Physics paper I on February 11 from 0830-1030hrs.
Physics paper II on February 14 from 0830-1140hrs and business paper II from 1300-1610.
Chemistry paper I on February 17 from 0830-1030hrs.
Chemistry paper II on February 19 from 0830-1140hrs.
Accounting paper I on February 23 from 0830-1030hrs.
Information and communication technology paper I on February 25 from 1400-1600hrs.
Accounting paper II on February 26 from 0830-1140hrs.
Information and communication technology paper II on February 26 from 0830-1140hrs.
Mathematics paper I on March 02 from 0830-1140hrs.
