Sri Lanka Treasury to fork out more money for Golden Key
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Treasury will provide 3,945.6 million rupees to repay investors of Golden Key Credit Card Company, an illegal Ponzi scheme that collapsed amid large scale financial fraud.
The Treasury has already released 544.3 million to repay small investors.
Now the cabinet of ministers had given the nod for the Treasury to advance 3,945.6 million rupees to the Central Bank to repay investors of up to 10 million rupees. (Colombo/Oct15/2015)
