Sri Lanka Treasury yields fall at auction
ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill yields fell at Wednesday’s auction eased with the 12-month yield falling 40 basis points to 7.00 percent from a week earlier, data from the state debt office showed.
Bids for three month bills were rejected. Three months were last sold at 6.80 percent on April 01.
Six-month bill yields fell to 6.80 percent on Monday from 7.10 percent a week earlier.
Twelve-month bills fell to 7.00 percent from 7.40 percent a week ago.
The state debt office sold 13 billion rupees in bills, after offering 30 billion rupees in total.
It said that 7 billion rupees in 6-month and 6.9 billion rupees in 12-month bills were sold. (Colombo/Apr06/2020)
