Sri Lanka Workers Party millionaire’s Presidential campaign on stretch limo
ECONOMYNEXT – The brand of A S P Liyanage, a millionaire presidential candidate representing his self-styled Sri Lanka Worker’s Party is being showcased on a stretch limo on Colombo’s streets.
Liyanage said he decided to stand for the third time because people were disappointed with existing politicians and he wanted to catch the floating vote.
“A lot of people have daily financial difficulties (aga hinga kam),” the millionaire businessman told reporters soon after handing in his nomination papers.
“There are also threats to security. There are a lot of floating votes who want a change. I will bring that.”
His symbol of Kangaroo, is visible on Colombo’s streets on a white Toyota Prado stretch limo. (Colombo/Nov13/2019)
