Sri Lanka’s cabinet clears proposals to draft new SEC law

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s cabinet of ministers had given the nod to draft a new Securities and
Exchange Commission law, the state information office said.

The law will replace the 1987 Act.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa submitted the proposed law to be given to the legal draftsman to be written into a bill.
