Sri Lanka’s inflation rises to 3.3-pct in November
ECONOMYNEXT – Consumer priices in Sri Lanka capital Colombo rose to 3.3 percent in November from a year ago, reversing a three-month fall, according to data from the Department of Census and Statistics.
The Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) had risen 3.1 percent in the 12-months to October.
The pick up in inflation was because of the contribution of Non Food items in the CCPI which was 3.6 percent, mainly owing to higher transport, health and fuel costs, a statement said.
